It shall be unlawful at any time to permit any motor vehicle to stand, stop or park upon any public street, road, alley or walkway of the city in any of the following places or under any of the following conditions except in compliance with the directions of a law enforcement official or a traffic control device:

(1) In any intersection;

(2)In any pedestrian crosswalk;

(3) Within 20 feet of any intersection or pedestrian crosswalk;

(4) At any place where the parking of the motor vehicle would block the use of a driveway;

(5) At any place where the standing, stopping, or parking of a motor vehicle will reduce the usable width of the street walkway to less than 25 ft;

(6) Within ten feet of a driveway;

(7) Within 30 feet upon the approach to any flashing signal, stop sign, yield sign, or traffic-control signal located at the side of a roadway;

(8) On any city street without valid registration or insurance;

(9) Within 15 feet of a fire hydrant;

(10) In the area between roadways of a divided highway, including crossovers;

(11) In any manner that creates a traffic hazard;

Where possible, polite conversation between neighbours can resolve most discrepancies.  We encourage all residents to work together to resolve misunderstandings or violations.
